Holy smokes I love this colour so much. This is currently my favourite lipstick as it's just so glam and polished because of the matte finish and yet fun due to the interesting interpretation of red with a pink twist. MATTraction is one of the three new shades for this autumn revamp of Catrice range and I utterly adore it.

It looks dark red in the tube, almost MAC Russian Red like, but on the lips, it's completely different. It's a gorgeous dark pink-rose-red shade and it's actually hard to believe that it's the same lipstick since it's nothing like in the tube. To me it's just a stunning colour. It's in the same colour family as Bourjois Frambourjoise (my other huge favourite), but it's pinker and darker. The finish of it is matte, however, not a matte liquid lipstick kind of matte, rather more satin-matte. It can look completely "powdery" matte if you blot it with a tissue.

The formula of this shade a creamy type of matte, so it's very comfortable to wear for a matte lipstick. It applies very smoothly without dragging and it's fully opaque with one swipe. It's a regular lipstick so unlike matte liquid lipsticks, such as Bourjois' Velvets, it does smudge if you're not careful, but it doesn't bleed outside the lipline during the day.

It lasts very well on the lips, in fact several hours, which is not surprising due to the intensity of the shade. It survives eating and drinking to a certain degree meaning it rubs off a bit, but you're still left with a fair amount of colour. I think that considering how much these cost, they are brilliant in terms of staying power.

MATTraction is undoubtedly a complete stunner in the Catrice Ultimate Colour range. I can see myself wearing it a lot because it is such a "me colour". Give it a swatch the next time you're near a Catrice stand, I'm sure it'll impress you as well.
